New Facilities for Church

It was wonderful that the contractors Blackburn Marshall commenced work on April 1st. As always thre was rain, the new septic tank has been installed in the Fish pond field. All the work and the removal of a section of oak panel in Church was supervised by the archaeologist, Janice was at times muddy and cold and fortunately there were no major problems. The internal reorder is well underway, people have been accommodating and understanding with the upheaval and we are looking forward to the next stage of the project. It has already had a positive outcome; the removal of the vestry screen has brought in the light from the large east window.

Bible study group are to meet in the vicarage on Tuesday 21st of May at 6.30 pm. We do hope you can join us read, discuss and enjoy the hour of friendship.

News from the 3@4 Team

It was wonderful to have a 3@4 service on Easter Sunday. Rev. Janet, Andrew and the children told of the main events of Holy Week. During the service there was an opportunity for all to take communion, and ended with an Easter Egg hunt.

Our next service is Sunday May 19th when we will celebrate Rogation. During the traditional service Rev. Janet goes into the church yard and offers prayers in the 4 corners, north, south, east and west. We pray for farms, school, industry and the community. Come and take part and wear comfortable shoes.
